How can I check my Mac for updates and upgrade?

It's good practice to keep your Mac up-to-date with the latest version of macOS. Here's a short how-to...

You can check for updates for your Mac by going to the Apple Menu and selecting System Settings and then Software Update.

If your Mac does has an available update, from here you can apply by restarting.

It can take up to 30 minutes to apply a major update - so make sure you have planned for this and that you have your Mac plugged in to the power supply with the screen on.
